DVStorm 5-Stream Update

DVStorm 5-Stream Update
June 25, 2002
Canopus Corporation today announced that DVStorm™, the company's acclaimed realtime nonlinear editing solution, now delivers five simultaneous realtime video streams. While Canopus users have long enjoyed the realtime editing and output performance of DVStorm, they can now take advantage of this realtime processing power on up to five streams of video in Adobe® Premiere®. Also included in this update is Microsoft Video for Windows support to provide DVStorm users with Video for Windows capture and video conferencing capabilities.

Due to Canopus's Scalable Technology Architecture, which extends the life of the DVStorm and gives users a much higher return on their investment, the new five-stream capability and Video for Windows support is added to DVStorm through a simple software update. The update is available now to current DVStorm users at no charge directly from the Canopus Website at www.canopuscorp.com

"Canopus has led the pack in realtime processing for some time. With the addition of the five-stream capability, we continue to be untouched by the competition," said Robert Sharp, vice president of marketing and domestic sales at Canopus. "And unlike our competition, our scalable technology design allows enhancements to be added through software updates, so customers continue to get a return on their original investment."

"Canopus consistently delivers cutting-edge realtime products," said Erik Lundblade, OEM product manager for Adobe Premiere. "By delivering five simultaneous realtime video streams in Premiere, Canopus gives our customers access to even more power in their digital video editing environments."

DVStorm combines stability, reliability and affordability with an extensive high-performance feature set that boasts render-free, realtime native DV editing, realtime DV and analog input/output (IEEE 1394, S-Video or composite) and MPEG output for DVD and Internet streaming.
