Scenarist BD version 5.2 - New Features

• Microsoft® Windows® 7 (32-bit and 64-bit) Support – Version 5.2 supports the latest Microsoft operating system: Windows 7.  Support for both 32-bit and 64-bit versions is included for maximum compatibility with the latest range of PC hardware.
• Exclusive Support for Integrated Dolby® TrueHD Stream Editing – Version 5.2 enables authors to manipulate Dolby TrueHD streams within the Scenarist Clip editor and Playlist editor, removing the need to encode streams to specifically match the required authoring scenario. Dolby TrueHD streams can be trimmed from start or end, and can be split at any point into multiple clips for use in seamless connection (cc5) scenarios, creating a greatly simplified authoring workflow. In accordance with the BD specification, cc5 connections are transitions between Clips that feature no audible or visible interruption during playback.
• StreamData™ Workflow Integration – Scenarist BD 5.2 supports Sonic’s StreamData file interchange format, improving the efficiency of your production workflow. Importing a StreamData file from Sonic CineVision will automatically provide Scenarist BD with asset metadata including chapter point locations.
• Redesigned MUX Dialog and Workflow – Version 5.2 allows authors to multiplex, image, and premaster all in the same window with a single click. Simply initiate the premastering process and leave Scenarist BD to take care of the rest. A huge time saver in high volume production environments.
• New Post-Mux Scripting – It is now possible to launch any Windows process upon completion of the multiplexing process. This new feature can be used to automatically carry out tasks including initiate a copy, start an ftp session, or alert users with an email notification. Scenarist BD’s new Post-Mux Scripting feature saves you time and streamlines your BD production workflow.
•  Updated AACS and BDCMF support – Version 5.2 supports both BDCMF 1.10 and the final AACS specification (0.95) ensuring your masters support the latest replication and content protection standards.
• Enhanced Auto-Layout Algorithm – Scenarist BD’s auto-layout algorithm is now even smarter. Whether you’re balancing layer sizes for dual layer titles or aligning the physical layout of files on a single layer disc, the enhanced auto-layout algorithm will produce reliable replication masters.
• New BD-Live Progressive Playlist Wizard – Version 5.2 features a new wizard that dramatically speeds up the preparation of Clips for BD-Live progressive playlists (cc6 connections). The new wizard automatically splits source Clips (with or without a sub- path) into small downloadable chunks.
