BlueFish444 says: The 2K|Lust features I/O support for 2K film resolution via HSDL (High Speed Data Link) for integration with telecine and film scanning devices, real-time hardware scaling, cropping and color processing and real-time SDI monitoring of HSDL output.

What it means: film people use so called 2K frames (2048x1080, 2048x1536 or 2048x1556) for "digital intermediate" files, i.e. for any digital work such as color correction, grading and special effects - where regular "hi-def" is not enough.  BlueFish444 2k|Lust is one of the very few solutions that can capture, preview and output these frames.  It does it via so called HDSL, which is a way to transfer super high-resolution files in real-time or in near-realtime.  In addition to 2K frames, 2K|Lust can also work with 1080p frames (1920x1080 at 50 or 60 full frames per second).  The bundled Symmetry software is a big selling point for 2K|Lust and other BlueFish444 products, supporting all kinds of film-related file formats and types, high-end VTRs, telecine and film scanners.

System Recommendations: 2K|Lust is a top shelf high performance card with a lot of horsepower, and it needs a stable well-cooled high-performance system to run in, such as HP xw8200, xw8400, xw8600, xw9300 and xw9400 workstations.  The card requires a 133MHz PCI-X slot, along with an adjacent slot: it occupies two.
